About Me

As  a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker, I can offer you  workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching, aiding your  personal and professional growth through study and practical application  of John’s proven leadership methods. Working together, I will move you  and/or your team or organization in the desired direction to reach your  goals.

I joined the  Navy when I was 18 and was privileged to serve for 6 years as an engine  room mechanic on an aircraft carrier and a guided missile cruiser. I  learned about leadership from the bottom. I learned about me and learned  to persevere. 

After the  service, I went to college and graduated as a Textile major just before  the first NAFTA was passed. I quickly learned LEAN manufacturing from  the bottom. I learned to plan with a purpose and build systems of  learning and standards. 

In 2005, I was  given the opportunity to teach Leadership, and intentionally became a  student again, soaking up all I could learn and applying my experiences  to help people improve their lives. I learned the value of training and  the positive impact it has on people and their families.

During the  “Great Recession” I watched as business reacted to the unseen market  forces by downsizing and creating instability for their employees and  myself as well. I learned that I couldn’t do it all; I couldn’t be everything for everyone.

Over the last  several years I have been preparing intentionally to leave  manufacturing, sharing the lessons learned with leaders, and adding  value to their business. John Maxwell and the JMT have made that possible with the wealth of value-added support they provide.
